Another terrific-sounding CD has entered the scene as the fifth album under Recess Music’s Celebrate Earth Music Series!

La Bella Stella is full of earth-loving tunes that “revolve around” the heavens — all things planetary, galaxy, sun and stars.

The fifteen tracks on this CD feature some of the world’s most talented musicians specializing in kids’ music…folks like Rocknocerous and Charity and the JAMBand.

These easy-going tunes are great for outdoor amplification, car rides, play time, and nap time!

Recess Music’s founder Nancy Doan has a conviction about providing high-quality music for children while at the same time promoting a greater good.

“The Recess Music “Celebrate Earth” series seeks to assist the cause of protecting and preserving our environment by donating a portion of the proceeds from each release to a selected environmental organization.   A portion of the proceeds from La Bella Stella will benefit the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, New Hampshire, which is dedicated to educating learners of all ages by actively engaging them in the exploration of astronomy, aviation, Earth and space science.”

We own a telescope but had let it gather dust. I’ll admit this album helps us get to thinking about all-things-celestial. It’s hard to listen to music about the galaxies beyond without wanting to pull out the big “spyglass” and go stargazing once again. It’s always quickly evident to me how something so beautiful can inspire music!

This fun (and informational, and inspirational!) album, La Bella Stella, is available directly through Recess Music, as well as at Amazon.com, via iTunes, and numerous music stores nationwide!
