ItzaBitza — Now for Mac! {Review + Giveaway}

By Muse Reviews | July 1, 2011 at 7:48 pm | 6 comments | Educational, For the Kids, Fun & Games

Have you heard of ItzaBitza?

It’s a super-interactive (and highly entertaining) art and drawing program for kids. With a few prompts (that foster reading skills) and a few clicks of the mouse, your child’s drawings immediately come to life on the screen!

We’ve had ItzaBitza around here for a while. When our family went from being a PC family to a Mac family, I feared that we’d have to relinquish our playing with ItzaBitza. It wasn’t long before I got word that a Mac version was being created by Virtual Programming. Yeah!

The renowned learning scientist, Dr. John Bransford, calls ItzaBitza “a breakthrough in childrens’ learning.” With ItzaBitza, children don’t even realize that they’re learning to read as they play. The drawing and animation is just too fun, disguising the educational merits (while they remain very visible to parents and teachers)!

Our kids love how their drawings spring to life, and how the game seems to predict what they’ll draw and smartly move ahead according to their desired plans for their current game. We use it as a fun and educational pasttime, as well as a supplement to our homeschooling!

You can download ItzaBitza for PCs from this website, Steam, for $9.99, and for Macs from this website, Deliver2Mac.com, for $11.95.

Win it!

Courtesy of Sabi Games/ItzaBitza and Virtual Programming, TWO of you will win a free download of the Mac version of ItzaBitza!
