Uncle Milton’s Toys, a purveyor of super awesome scientific-themed toys and amusements for kids, has recently begun carrying a line reflecting the popular PBS/ETV animated show “Dinosaur Train.”

Uncle Milton’s Dinosaur Train line combines fun with learning through its four fun product launches: Dino Poop, Dino Track Discovery Packs, Hatchers, and Mini Dino Projectors.

Uncle Milton’s Toys sent over some Dino Poop and Hatchers for us to try out first-hand!

The Dino Poop comes in a realistically-shaped resealable container. The “poop” is really harmless dark-colored, pliable Dino Dough. (Don’t worry; it doesn’t smell bad. In fact, it kind of smells like vanilla.)

There are three kinds of Dino Poop available: Herbivore, carnivore, and omnivore. Deconstructed plants and/or bones are hidden within the dough, and your kids can excavate the pieces. They simply put the fragments together to figure out what type of dino might have left this “poop!”

The dough also serves as terrific material for making realistic fossils:

The Hatchers kits each come with one unhatched dinosaur egg. Simply submerge it in water and, within 48 hours, have a newly hatched dinosaur. The dinos actually grow in water, aiding them in pushing out of their shells. Take them out for play and they’ll shrink – - simply resubmerge them to cause them to grow big once again.

The Uncle Milton’s Dinosaur Train Dino Poop kits are recommended for ages 4 and up and retail for $9.99 each. The Hatchers are recommended for ages 4 and up and retail for $6.99 each. More Dinosaur Train toys will be released in the coming months! Look for them at fine specialty toy, hobby, gift, education, mass merchant and department stores nationwide, and at several online retailers. (For more information, visit the company’s website or Facebook page.)
