The Dream Jam Band: Review + Giveaway!
I was recently contacted about reviewing the new (2nd) CD of The Dream Jam Band, “Leave It In the Soup” — and boy, I’m glad I said “yes!”
This is one happening band that knows how to truly entertain kids (and their fun-loving parents).
Their costumes and graphics are reminiscent of the 60s — think go-go boots and mod daisy prints — their songwriting is frolicky and fun, and their harmonies are seamless.
To say The Dream Jam Band’s musical influences are varied is a mammoth understatement. This talented quartet takes their inspiration from Woody Guthrie, The Beatles, and Duke Ellington…just to name a few.
Okay — more about the new album!
This album is so much fun — musically and lyrically. There’s so much here a kid can relate to — a bad hair day, getting “the blues,” and being frustrated over not being able to tie one’s shoes! “Have a Party When You Get the Blues” is our family’s favorite song on this CD. “Leave It In the Soup” is one album that you’ll soon be singing along with — it won’t take long for these songs to stick!
You can watch two of The Dream Jam Band’s music videos (from this new album) on YouTube: Bad Hair Day and Have a Party When You Get the Blues!
“Leave It In the Soup” will release as a digital album on July 27th — and the CD will follow soon after on August 10th!
Win it! Courtesy of The Dream Jam Band and Shore Fire Media, TWO of you will win a copy of The Dream Jam Band’s new album “Leave It In the Soup!”
