Imagination Box Co. – Review + Giveaway!

By megret | June 17, 2010 at 2:10 pm | 99 comments | For the Kids, Fun & Games

You know how much fun kids will have with a cardboard box. But what about a cardboard box that is in the shape of a cottage? Firehouse? Schoolhouse? Barn!?

Imagination Box Co. knows just how entertaining box play can be. They’ve created a handful of easy-to-assemble, American made, 100% recyclable cardboard structures for kids to build, paint, and enjoy!

All of the dyes and materials used in Imagination Box Co.’s products are non-toxic and completely safe. Their toys have won numerous awards such as Dr. Toy awards and the iParenting Media Award. What’s more, Imagination Box Co.’s products are assembled by individuals at PSNI, Panhandle Special Needs, Inc. PSNI provides employment services for people who want to work and need assistance in finding the right match for their skills and abilities.

The generous folks behind Imagination Box Co. sent us their newest available product for our review: The Castle Tower!

The assembly was simple!

In no time at all it was constructed. The kids couldn’t wait to play with it — they were completely happy with it undecorated!

It came with a set of vibrant watercolors and a paintbrush, so the kids soon began decorating. They were completely absorbed in the task — painting something of such a large scale was terribly exciting! They worked happily on their painting project for two or three hours at least!

I loved the small details that make this Castle Tower so wonderful: Stone floor design inside — interior walls that are also paintable:

The top of the turret also had written on it words relating to chivalry.

(There’s a better photo of it here.)

Six extra shields are also included. After the kids decorated these, I adhered them to the tower with some 3D glue dots I had (used for scrapbooking) — making them “pop out!”

In just a few days’ time, the kids have already spent hours and hours playing with this Castle Tower. It is very sturdy and of impressive size — no doubt this toy will be around a long time for even more imaginative and creative play.

You can purchase/order Imagination Box Co.’s Castle Tower for $39 — which includes a set of watercolors for ready-to-go play. (There’s also free shipping on any of Imagination Box Co.’s products through September 30th, 2010!)

Win it! Thanks to Imagination Box Co., one of you will win your very own Castle Tower!
