Learning Resources debuts yet another fantastic educational product, an all-inclusive play-filled set, this time for budding scientists. LR’s Primary Science Set is just out and promises to be a very popular play tool! It certainly is at our house!
Learning Resources sent over a Primary Science Set for us to test. Our hypothesis was that it was going to be loads of fun (plus pack an educational boost, as well). The results? Overwhelmingly positive!
The kids could not wait to get the box open and begin exploring the contents — durable plastic, easy-to-grip replicas of real-life science lab tools and components. They set right to work assembling their science lab (a.k.a. the kitchen counter) and my husband and I got to work choosing some of the included activity cards for experiments.
A few minutes turned into an hour….then two. The kids had the best time pouring, mixing, combining, measuring. It was the perfect activity for a dreary, rainy spring day.
But the fun hasn’t stopped there. Daily they ask for the Primary Science Kit to be a part of their afternoon play time. The Learning Resources Primary Science Kit keeps them entertained for at least an hour every time we take it out of the box. The weather’s getting warmer, too, so it’s easily tote-able outdoors for even messier play!

Learning Resources’ Primary Science Set retails for $29.99 and includes a durable, unbreakable beaker, magnifying glass, funnel, eyedropper, flask, tweezers, goggles, large 6″ test tube and stand, 2 small test tubes with lids and stand, plus activity cards. You can order it directly from Learning Resources’ online shop or look for it at specialty children’s retailers near you!
Win it! Courtesy of Learning Resources, I am able to give away one Primary Science Kit to one of my readers! Here’s how to enter:
