Give the gift of better sleep!

Holiday01
Our two children, since infancy, have always been 12-hours-a-night sleepers. More recently, though, they’ve been having trouble getting to sleep, and both have foregone sleeping at naptime. This doesn’t mean that all is lost, though. They still have a mandatory “down time” in their rooms right after lunch, and at night, we’ve found some tricks to help them settle down quicker and begin their trips to dreamland. My Tot Clock has been one of those helps!
totclock
My Tot Clock was thought up and created by a sleep-deprived mom, Pamela Gonzalez, who began experiencing toddler sleep troubles when a new baby brother was introduced into the family. Needing a solution for a little boy who got up every hour or two to tell her that “the sun was awake,” she came up with My Tot Clock.

My Tot Clock is filled with customizable features to let your little one know what time it is (and what time he or she may get out of bed). There are, in fact, five distinct settings to time your little one’s daily activities and regimens. The clock face changes colors depending on whether it’s bedtime, wake time, or nap time….plus there are two more colors to use for times of encouragement or discipline!

We decided to put this clock on our son’s room since he’s the one who is hardest to settle down and is also beginning to learn how to TELL time. It’s been a terrific, useful resource! What exactly do I love about My Tot Clock?

- I love that it has an AC adapter plug — no batteries to keep replacing!
- The face’s light can be dimmed or brightened depending on preferences.
- Tot Clock Treasures cartridges (one is included and others are available for purchase) play bedtime stories, songs, lullabies, and even white noise.
- The Tot Clock Treasures cartridges can also be set to start playing music at awake time, for those children who need to get up at a certain time for school or daycare.
- With the buttons on the back, you can customize sleep and awake time for automatic light setting changes….BUT an override function is available for the times when “life happens” and the times need to be adjusted!
- The soft glowing blue light serves dual purpose as a nightlight!
- A digital clock is on the back, and a clock with hands is on the front — terrific for kids learning how to tell time.
- There are interchangeable faceplates available so that your child can fully customize his or her Tot Clock!

back
(The back of the unit….notice how many buttons there are! So, so customizable. The directions for setting the time durations were super simple and very self-explanatory.)

With My Tot Clock, our son now comes into our bedroom in the mornings only after the faceplate turns yellow at 7:15am. During nap time, he knows that his “quiet time” isn’t over until the green-blue changes to yellow. Much more fun and interactive than a standard timer! My Tot Clock is a must-have for any family who is dealing with toddler sleep issues (or is anticipating them).

You can order My Tot Clock directly from their website. My Tot Clock includes the clock, one cartridge, and stars and moon faceplate, all for $49.95. You can purchase other Tot Clock Treasures cartridges or faceplates for $9.95 each. (Well worth the value of a good night’s sleep — for everyone in your household!)

Win it! Thanks to Pamela, the creative mom behind My Tot Clock, one of you can win your very own My Tot Clock unit! To enter to win, tell me the following information in a comment below:
1) Why you need My Tot Clock in your household, and

I’ll close the contest next Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 at 11pm EST. Sorry; US entries only. Good luck!

CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.

Congratulations to commenter #9, Kristi, the winner of the Tot Clock!

Wow – that looks pretty neat! J has always been a pretty good sleeper, but with our recent move, we’ve had some set backs. Sunday morning, we got a 4:30 am wake up call – ugh! This just may be our answer – thanks for sharing! If I were to win, I like the dinosaur face plate.

This would work great for my son who is always up before the sun. We’ve been trying to teach him that he needs to stay in bed until he sees the sun and I think this would make that wait much more fun. Since my kids share a room I think the barnyard plate would work best. Thanks for a great giveaway!

I definitely think the barnyard faceplate would be the favorrite. I would like to use the time out feature as well as just the stay in bed until it turns yellow feature!

This would be great so that my sons would not get up so early, especially on weekends. They’d like the night sky faceplate.

This would be nice for the weekends so he would not get up to early. He would like the night sky faceplate. thanks.

I need this for my 3yr old. We have major sleep issues, he doesnt’ take naps, and he wakes at 6:30-7am even if he doesn’t get to bed till late the day before(like if we are busy and miss bed time) I think this would help him loads he would like the dinosaur faceplate

1) I need My Tot Clock in my household to help my 2yr old niece establish a daily routine that is easy to follow
2) I think my niece would like the Under the Sea faceplate the best

i would love for my son to have this because of the timeout feature. its hard for children to unferstand and with the red light counting down i think it would really sink in.my son would love the sports faceplate!

My younger son has ALWAYS been a very early riser. At five years old, he STILL hasn’t grown out of it, which is why this clock would be very useful for him to know when it’s okay to come wake his older brother up, who DOES like to sleep.

I like the Rainbow clock face plate it is girly so my girls will like it….I like the time out feature the clock has …!

I love that it teaches the kids when it is time to wake up-they always get up before they are suppose to and I have to put them to bed for another 1/2 hour.

I like the barnyard faceplate!

I like the dinosaur faceplate; and I could really use this because we’re expecting our first child soon – a boy – and we plan on having several more. If he’s anything like his Dad, he’s going to be Hyper!! This is a fantastic item!

my daughter is an early riser and a short napper… i think this clock could help me out! i like the night sky faceplate.

This clock would be helpful for the nights when my daughter wakes up convinced that it’s morning and time to get up. My child would like the Butterflies faceplate. THanks!

We need this Tot Clock because youngest grandson is having issues with taking his naps these days. I think having this in his room would show him that a nap doesn’t last forever, and maybe make him feel more in control. I think he would really like the Noah’s Ark Faceplate

I like the Noah’s Ark Faceplate. I would really like to get this for my little girl. She is 9 and it would really be a help with her. Please enter me in your giveaway. Thanks!

I need this clock because my baby girl (2 1/2)has been a great sleeper until now. She gets up several times to prolong going to sleep. I like the feature of the lullaby songs and think she would love this! We would use the butterflies faceplate!

We could definitely use a Tot Clock to help my little one stay in bed until it’s time to get up. Lately he’s been up way too early, and once he’s up, there’s no getting him back asleep. The Under the Sea faceplate is very cute!

How cool, I had never seen these before. Yhis would be so perfect for my son. He loves clock, is fascinated with time & needs to be on a schedule or us he gets disrupted. I think this would be so perfect for him & would help him so much with his daily routine…how special :)

It’s so hard to pick! I like the Noah’s Ark, under the sea and the barnyard faceplates. *lol* I would actually give this to my sister, she’s got two kids that are really young an dlike to get up and wake everyone else up, and I think this owul dhelp her out a lot.

We try to keep a routine, but ‘real life intrudes’ way to much.I think this would hep us stick to the rules better. Something tangible, and fun like would probably help the boys get on track too.

The Barnyard Faceplate would be a hit with my boys.

Wow, that is really cool! I so need this. I have an eight month old and a 2 and a half year old and the 2 1/2 year old always wakes us up at around 4a.m. I would love to be able to put an end to that! I like the butterfly face plate. Thanks for the giveaway!

My prescooler used to sleep in pretty well but now that we have a new baby he is waking up at the crack of dawn. We’d love the Sports faceplate to match his room decor!

I love that it is a night light as well as a soother for kids. and I would choose the face plate: Tot Clock Faceplate – Dinosaur Design

I have a 3 year old and 8 month old that have to share a room. My son fights me tooth and nail about sleep – be it nap or bedtime. Additionally, my husband works overnight and has to sleep during the day and get up for work during the kids’ going to bed time, so it’s been so difficult to establish a winding down time – my son thinks it’s time to get a second wind once my husband is up. I learned about the tot clock from another mom at a sleep workshop I attended, and I am so eager to try it. I feel like I am awake 24 hours sometimes because I am up all day with the kids and handling all night wakings by myself. I think my son would like the sports faceplate but the farm faceplate would be keeping with the decor of their shared room. Help us, please!

My daughter needs this to help get up in the mornings for school. We like the butterfly faceplat. THANKS!
Kasandria

I would love the princess faceplate. We need it to encourage a stricter routine. Right now we kinda fumble through the day!

I would love to win this for our little 2 year old. She knows the digital clock in her room tells time, but I would love for her to have some visual representation of when quiet time starts and stops. I like the Under the Sea faceplate.

we need the clock to help my 2yop go to sleep for his naps for his baby sitter – he’s going through a no bap phase and I bet this would help! i think the barnyard faceplate would be great

My 3 year old daughter needs this for the mornings when she likes to tell me at 4 am that it’s time to get up. She would like the ballerinas faceplate.

My 2.5 year old daughter is beginning to wander when she should be in bed…she wakes me every 10 minutes to ask if the alarm has gone off yet. I’ve been looking for something like this to help her figure it out herself! The butterfly faceplate matches her room perfectly.

I need this because I have a 3 year old and 2 year old that share a room and get up SO early! Sleep time has been a fight forever now! I think this could help them understand when they can get up.
They would for sure love the princess plate the best. But I think I would get a more gender neutral one, like the barnyard or noah’s ark.
Thanks!

I LOVE THIS! This would be perfect for us both in the mornings with my son wakes up WAY TOO EARLY and at nap times, very quickly becoming quiet times, to let him know how long he needs to stay in his room. What a fabulous idea!

Faceplate: sports

We need My Tot Clock because it is very hard getting our 4-year old to sleep. We also need the discipline timer..we’ve been wanting one of those for ages. Our son would love the Noah’s Ark Faceplate.

I need My Tot Clock because my 4 year old has recently decided that 3;00 am is a perfectly reasonable time to get up & face the day, even though I explain to her it’s still the middle of the night. And I like the Noah’s Ark Face plate. Thanks for a great giveaway!

This would be great for my daughter because she never wants to go to bed at night. With this we can show her it is nightime and hopefully she will do better. I would like the Noah’s Ark faceplate.

I like the night faceplate, we need this because my daughter’s sleep schedule is all over the place and this could help

This is the coolest clock!!

I need the Tot Clock for my son. He needs a visual to know that 6 AM is TOO EARLY to wake mommy up!! ;-)

I’d like the Barnyard faceplate!

Thanks for the chance!

I love the Under the Sea faceplate.

Right now my son is learning to tell time because he already knows his numbers, and we really want to get him a clock to learn when it’s wake up time…this would speed it up. Right now we hear whispering outside our door “Is it time to wake up yet?” every few minutes, and it’s even still dark outside!!! This would definitely help him figure out the answer for himself ? :)

What an awesome product. We have been having lots of problems with early wakeups and the changing colors feature would definitely help. You can tell this was designed by a mom! I like the barnyard faceplate.

the dinosaur plate my son is obsessed with dinosaurs I need it for him we have a time getting him to nap and sleep since he was born thanks for the chance to win eaglesforjack@gmail.com

Oh my goodness, we need this! My 3-year-old is constantly talking about if it’s time to get up or time to go to bed and doesn’t believe what we tell her… plus in the morning it would be fantastic to have a way for her to see if it’s time to get out of bed yet! I would let her choose the faceplate but I think her favorite might be the Butterflies or Under The Sea. Thanks!
