I have been itching to write up this review and tell you all about this company! As I cleaned my entire home top to bottom over the past couple of weeks with their wonderful products, I kept imagining all of the wonderful things I could brag about to you all about Better Life. About how good they smell (and how some of them have NO smell, which is nice!). And about how fabulously they work. And about their cute, clever packaging. I could go on and on…

Better Life was begun by two life-long friends who shared a common goal: To create cleaners for the home that had no harsh fumes, unsafe chemical additives, or detrimental effects on the earth as a whole.

Better Life’s line of cleaning essentials for your home is extensive and full. There’s a product for any task.

I received the Better Life Starter Kit to demo and immediately fell in love with the sleek, black, carry-all tote that housed the contents. How ingenious!

What was inside was even better:

~ Simply Floored – This squirt-able bottle contains one powerful floor cleaner, minus the stickiness and streaks that most commercial cleaners leave behind. My laminate-wood floors sparkle after using this, and a citrusy, minty fragrance lingered for hours.

~ what-EVER! – This stuff cleans countertops, microwaves, stovetops, the kids’ plastic placemats, cutting boards, and, well, whatever, like a breeze! This is an all-around, all-purpose spray that’s so handy to have nearby — I store it right under the sink for easy reach.

~ Even the Kitchen Sink – This lightly abrasive, scent-free cream gets my stainless steel sink shiny as new. Pair this with the included loofah-sided sponge and you’ve got a winning team!

~ I Can See Clearly, WOW! – Another scent-free miracle worker. This wipes away smudges, water stains, and general gunk off all windows, microwave glass, and oven doors. It even shines up our stainless appliances. One of G’s favorite things to do is clean glass. He can clean glass all afternoon and I don’t worry about it one bit — this spray, like every Better Life product, is completely kid-safe. Love this stuff!

Another superior product that is a must have for moms and dads is 2am Miracle. This might have a cute little name, but it cleans tough. This cleans not only nursery jobs but pretty much any other fabric or carpet mishap. My 4-year-old accidently spilled a few spots of cranberry juice on our light beige frisee carpet. Came right up, and left a delightful lavender scent!

Better Life products can be found at Drugstore.com, Walgreens, Delight.com, and several brick-and-mortar retailers.

You can order the Better Life Starter Kit directly from their website for only $29.99 (that’s $10 off!) by entering in the coupon code stakit10 at checkout.

Win it! Thanks to the terrific, kind guys at Better Life, I have one of the Better Life Starter Kits to offer one of you! Simply go over to Better Life’s site and look around. Tell me which of their products you’d be most eager to try first in your home and why, or another thing you learned while you were there. I’ll close this contest next Tuesday, June 9th, 2009 at 11pm EST. Sorry; US entries only. Good luck to you all!

I’d love to try the Even The Kitchen Sink cleaner. I really hate cleaning the tub with something full of chemicals and then feeling okay about leaving my kinder in there for 20 minutes, with chemicals all around! This would ease my mind for once…
