I like how their style is consistent, being themselves musically with both kids and parents. I get most annoyed with fakey fakey kids musioc, and this is sounds genuinely silly and real.

Offering an array of songs with broad appeal, the band plays pretty much the exact same songs at Portland’s rock clubs as it does at schools and libraries.

I learned that scallywagg is a combination of words meaning “not very nice,” and that pirates sang most likely for entertainment and in battle. I loved reading through the tales on their site!
