Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: Day 2, Gifts for Moms

We’re focusing on the moms today. Of course, many of these gifts can be applied to other recipients, too, but we all know that moms need the utmost in pampering most days. These special gifts would be perfect. (Moms, if you see something in this list that you can’t live without, just leave a subtle — or not so subtle — hint to your husbands about it! I happen to know this works. *wink*)

A flattering dress from Shabby Apple. These dresses are custom-made to fit, no matter what body type you have….their sizing charts are super specific and their customer service reps will help you pick the perfect dress for you. I ordered one of their “little black dresses” over the holidays and am MUCHO impressed by this company. When’s the last time you treated yourself to a new flirty, feminine dress? Don’t you think it’s about time?

Customized “mommy calling cards” from Sarah + Abraham. These are tres cute. These can be used for playdates….but I’m guessing you could use them as gift enclosures, as well.

How about some lovely Crabtree & Evelyn lavender linen spray? Baby has the best of the best sweet-smelling products….why not treat yourself to scented sheets when your bedtime finally arrives? I am a closet Crabtree & Evelyn fanatic.

Mmm…how about some chocolate? This philosophy chocolate gift set won’t make you feel bad about calories afterward. My husband included some philosophy goodies in my stocking this year, and I swear, it’s all I can do to not taste the stuff….it smells so good!

SquaresOfFlair’s Etsy shop has adorable, custom photo bookmarks available, for the moms who love to read. (An Amazon gift card would be a neat tag-along.)

For the working mom (or geeky mom, like me), a strawberry red quilted laptop sleeve from TimBuk2 might just be the most heartfelt gift of all.

Last but not least: How about a gift certificate for a massage or facial? This one is an appreciated gift year round…but what better way to show that you love her than give her a “day off?”
