Platinum….Platine.

So….one of my greatest weaknesses downfalls passions is cookies. Not just any cookie — a well-made, homemade, decadent cookie….preferably with chocolate found somewhere inside.

So you can imagine that when a package of fresh, gourmet cookies from Platine Cookies appeared on my doorstep late last week, there was much rejoicing.

Platine Cookies is based out of Venice, California. Chef Jamie Cantor is a true expert at what she does. The baked goods she creates and outputs from her kitchens rival the competition.

She pays special attention to the small, seemingly minuscule ingredients that most others would overlook. She uses only the best….such as very high-quality chocolate, real vanilla bean, and local California walnuts….within her scrumptious cookie treats. Each order is made in small batches, by hand, in order to ensure optimal freshness and taste.

A fun subset of her selections are her Couture Cookies, available in several whimsical and beautiful styles.

Platine Cookies also offers several assortment package options for other special occasions!

The package we received looked just like this when I opened it. How festive!

Within the platinum tin were two wrapped stacks of cookies. We couldn’t decide what to taste first!

Tasting and testing all of these mouthwatering cookies sure was hard work….but somebody has to do it. *grin* After all was said and done, the Chocolate Galore cookie was my absolute favorite. Here’s what Platine Cookies’ website says about these fabulous gems: “This is the cookie for true chocoholics -we use four types of gourmet chocolate and combine them with California Walnuts to make a rich, fudge- like cookie.” Mmmm.

Win it! Jamie has so very generously offered one of you a chance to win a Platinum Standard tin full of a 2 dozen assortment of these delicious baked treats. All you need to do is visit Platine Cookies, shop around awhile, then come back and tell me in one comment one variety of these cookies that you MUST try….with OR without a glass of cold milk in hand. One entry per person only; duplicate comments will be deleted. US entries only. I’ll leave the contest open until 11pm next Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 and announce the lucky winner the next day. Good luck!
