We have a little girl who loves to dress up. I mean, loves. She changes right out of her pajamas into some sort of costume. Sometimes she piles into our car still in-costume (if our errands don’t warrant getting out of the car). She comes to the table for breakfast, lunch, dinner in costume (sometimes in a different one for all three in one day).
I enjoyed dressing up as a child, but not nearly as much and as often as Rainey does. Her imagination is vivid, her ability to dream, immense.
And with a child so imaginative, it reminds me in yet another way how glad I am that we’re doing preschool here at home, where she can come to the school table dressed any way she pleases, where she can be….herself. My sentiments and appreciation for this freedom are echoed in the article “Come as You Are” by fellow Heart of the Matter Online fellow contributor, Tammy.
I’m so thankful for my little creatively-clothed girl. I pray this wonderful blend of creativity and imagination never leaves her.

Just think..if she continues to love clothes this much when she is a teen-ager, your clothing budget is going to have to be expanded!
