G’s favorite thing to do in the mornings now is to help Ken make coffee.
He also loves to drink the coffee, so we’ve had to start buying decaf for those days where he really wants to drink a whole 8 oz. cupful. *grin*
He only needed Ken’s help the first few times. He’s gotten really good at it and needs little help now — and he loves it! This new independence that’s arriving with his almost being 5 is something that’s taking some getting used to — but it’s so exciting to watch his confidence bloom daily!
(And it’s evident that all of those Montessori pouring/scooping/transferring tray activities we did helped a lot with these skills!)
