This week’s WFMW is a project for summertime’s start. Every summer we make a list or fill out a calendar of things we’d like to do, places we’d like to go, experiences we’d like to have. This year I decided to do something a little different — a little more unstructured — a little more….pretty. I give you — our Summer Door Dots!
The kids and I sat down and wrote down on various multicolored paper dots the things we’d like to do this summer. We randomly stuck them to our foyer door with tape, and voila! Some days they can pick a dot, some days I can pick a dot, and some days Daddy can pick a dot. We’re going to try our best to empty the door or dots by summer’s end!
Some are generic (wash the pets, play in the rain, paint with water) and some are specific (certain parks to visit, movies to see, restaurants to hit).
Summer Door Dots works for me!

fun! what a great idea! Summer vacation officially starts tomorrow as my oldest son had his Kindergarten Graduation tonight! Our first “real” summer vacation from school schedule.
Thanks for this idea!

What a fun way to plan! Do you put them up yourself and surprise the kids, or do you all come up with ideas together?
