Recently, I was reading Chasing Cheerios’ post about painting with water and remembered what a simple pasttime/joy this was for me as a child! I had forgotten about a couple of paint with water books I bought during our beach vacation last year. I dug them out from our pile of coloring and activity books, and G was ecstatic! He asked for page after page….before lunchtime, he had painted half of the pictures in the book. With each different outlined section, he held the water-soaked brush above the paper and tried to guess the results of the color blending.
I love going back to the simple (and unplanned) things — sometimes they’re the most fun!
