A different kind of conversation hearts.

Here’s a good way to bring the Bible into the Valentine holiday. I found this idea on Pink Paper Peppermints, but since I don’t have a color printer, I amended it a bit with scrapbook paper and Dotz pens.

Each 3″ pink paper heart has a truth about love on it, taken from several different versions of the Bible (made easier for little ears to understand). We talked about each one as we stuck it to the pantry door, where we’d see it numerous times daily as a reminder to love each other as Christ loves us.

I Cor. 13 hearts

I’ve been able to refer the kids to a heart or two this week when a disturbance or disagreement arose: “Doesn’t the Bible say that love is not rude?” and “Remember….love is not jealous.” It’s been a visual reminder to me, too.
