You may hear me say pretty often that much of my creativity has gone out the window. True, more pressing issues each day to threaten to push out the creative juices that once ran very freely within my heart and thoughts….but sometimes I do have my moments….and many of those times when I don’t feel creative, I feed off of the creativity that oozes from the lofty mind of my husband, and for that, I’m super grateful. Nevertheless, I appreciate this award and the thoughtful one that sent it my way — thank you!
Here’s what I am supposed to do:
- List six things that inspire my creativity

Six things that inspire my creativity:
1. God Himself, who created me and my mind in the first place, and who is the Ultimate Creative
2. My husband and children
3. Reading books (mainly fiction, but also children’s picture books that I read to the kids)
4. Thumbing through artsy magazines or coffee table-type books at my own home, others’ homes, or bookstores
5. The library (I don’t know what it is about this place, but 15 minutes after setting foot inside, I am driven to either write a novella or research my ancestors to the utmost detail)
6. Other people (I’m a people watcher; I can see people and, within a few minutes’ time, I will have made up an entirely fictional story about who they are, why they’re where they are, and what they do for a living. It’s a weird game I play, I guess!)
