Thanksgiving is over, and we’ve celebrated for 2 days. Ken sighed today and said simply, “I’m so tired of eating.”
Eat we did! We hosted this year, and two of the aunts were not in town, and so I added a bit more than usual to my cooking repertoire. R was such a good helper….she made her very first pumpkin pie this year.
And we played, too! With lots of little ones running around, there’s no time for sitting on the couch and dozing after dinner. We were outside and rolling down the hill, roughhousing, and playing chase.
Today, we ventured to Ken’s family’s farm for some post-Thanksgiving fun. There was a hayride (with cow and calf spectators), a grill-out, some good old-fashioned outdoor play, a campfire, and a sing-along.
The kids had a blast, and were worn out completely at bedtime. I’m not far behind. :D
I hope every one of you had a memorable, fun, festive Thanksgiving this year.
Now we can look forward to Christmas!

I love the fact that Ken is playing in the loft with the kids… what a great picture!

It looks like you had an awesome weekend. We went and visited my mom and dad for a couple of days. Now I’m home cleaning, doing laundry oh and reading blogs. Your blog skin is really cute :)
