Paper teepees.

We began talking about Thanksgiving this week. We began with how it all began: With the Native Americans. Paper teepees were first on our list. Since it was a beautiful (albeit windy) day, we decided to combine school/craft time with outside time. Our teepees went flying across the yard on more than one occasion!

After decorating and embellishing the teepees (“brown animal skins”), we assembled them and set them on the table as our centerpiece.

Very cute. We have read a couple books about Thanksgiving and native Americans this last week so this would be perfect.

What a great idea. I think I’ll make some of these with my kiddos tomorrow. I know they’ll love it.
