Bottle Bowling

I’ve been saving plastic drinking bottles for days. I usually drink out of my Nalgene, so when the grocery list showed a pack of water bottles, Ken had some questions. No, I was not being bad to the environment. I was going to most definitely recycle — in the most fun way possible.

We filled up ten bottles with water and then I added a drop or two of food coloring. The kids had fun watching the dye swirl around in the water, and then shook them to blend them well!

We lined them up on the driveway and then grabbed two kickballs…it was time for Bottle Bowling.

The game really was a hit, despite the rules being changed a bit by a certain 4-year-old (hee hee). Now I don’t have to buy a toy bowling kit — this is much more colorful and durable (and cheaper) than any I’ve seen!
