There wasn’t a MTM theme this week, but I made ours a little special. It was a crisp, clear fall day today, but all of our allergies have been acting up a bit. Perfect evening for long baths (with extra toy playtime) followed by cozy PJs and a big bowl of something warm for dinner. Why not breakfast for dinner? How about oatmeal?
I saw this idea a while back on another Muffin Tin Mommy’s blog — can’t remember who (sorry) — an Oatmeal Bar. It was a brilliant idea, one I knew our kids would love. Love they did. These guys sat at the table for 45 minutes and devoured their dinner. Big hit!
A little bit of salt and brown sugar in the oatmeal (I like to use equal parts regular and quick oats for just the right texture) — plus a plethora of toppings (L to R, top to bottom: Bananas, blueberries, Craisins, raisins, sprinkles, and apples). They could create their oatmeal masterpieces to their hearts’ content….and then eat the extras from the tins.
Run on over to Her Cup Overfloweth to meet the new hostess of MTM, as well as to see the other creative contributions!

Great idea! I think that Emily at little momma and company did something similar – if you haven’t seen her blog, you really should, she’s amazing!
I love how you’ve put it together!!
