Oh, what fun…

…we’ve had with this book so far: Richard Scarry’s Best MAKE-IT Book Ever! I unearthed this treasure at a used bookstore a couple of years ago, and we’re still making the most of it. It’s old — published in ’77 — but anything Richard Scarry is timeless.

This week, we assembled and played the Busy Firefighter Board Game.

It was neck and neck near the end as G and I rounded the bend…

We also cut out and assembled some non-scary halloween masks from its pages. How clever!

Though this book is sadly out of print, you can find used copies online at Amazon and Ebay.

Or, you can buy the newer book that’s very similar: Richard Scarry’s Best Rainy Day Book Ever!, which we have and also enjoy. This book is blank for coloring as opposed to already colored like the first. (This book is in our “Rainy Day Suitcase.” Shhh — more about that later!)
