Scented dough for dinos!

We love to make homemade playdough. That’s why when I ran across Kiddio’s tutorial on how to make playdough using….what else….Jell-O….I knew we had to try it.

Jello playdough

She’s right. It did turn out more pliable and not as grainy. The subtle scent was fun, too (G chose orange). Those two things plus the bonus of no need for added color means easy and enjoyable for Mom, too!

The dinosaurs had a blast sludging through all of our orange-scented “quicksand and goo.”

Go to Kiddio’s recipe and directions so you can make you own. Next time, I think we will try a cherry or strawberry version. (G still holds that Berry Blue will make the COOLEST. PLAYDOUGH. EVER.)

And for a dessert later? Dino-sprinkled pudding.

Hi Meg! I’m so glad the recipe worked for you. I’ve really never liked homemade playdough, but this is such nice dough! If it’s any consolation to G, Jasper totally wanted the berry blue too, but got outvoted. I was thinking lime would also be gorgeous! I love your dino-sprinkled-dessert, too!
