When there are a few minutes to kill while waiting on supper or lunch, or if your little one just announces out of the blue, “Mom, I’m bored!”…..here’s a great little craft that you can whip up in no time. And I betcha we all have the materials in our houses right now!
What you’ll need:
One large (rectangular works best) piece of construction paper
Several colors of crepe paper streamers
Clear tape (mailing tape holds best for outdoor use)
Ribbon for hanging
Simply roll the construction paper into a cylinder and tape closed. Have your child cut 2′ lengths of crepe paper in varying colors. Tape ends inside bottom edge of cylinder “sock.” When ready to hang up secure/tape a ribbon on top, and watch the wind take over!
(Even though ours is on a covered porch, we bring ours in at night to keep moisture off of it.)
