Fascinating things, and last week’s menu, straight to you.

I’ve been shut in most of the day with a migraine, so I’ve had some (not a lot of) time to plan my week ahead. This week, the activities I do with Gardner will gravitate around (no pun intended) an outer space theme. When he agreed to my idea, I was giddy, simply because I LOVE anything space related, the geek that I am deep down inside. Not a whole lot of activities and ideas out there for pre-K age, but I dug deep enough to find some. In the midst of all of my web travels, I came across a few more fascinating destinations, as well….

Spacesounds. Now, this link came via a homeschooling mom on the web, who claimed it is by far the coolest outer space websites out there. I think she’s probably right.

– Now I don’t know how legitimate this plea is, but on Parent Hacks (my new fav place to surf to) this week, there was a post that tells you how you can send your gently used toys and stuffed animals to children in Iraq. Just the ticket when I’ve been sorting through unused toys in our house just this week.

– There’s a semi-new place online that’s kinda like a MySpace for moms. I heard about it on the Jumping Monkeys podcast….it’s called CafeMom. Pretty neat idea and theme. Just don’t think I’m going to have time to commit to yet another thing online that requires posting and such…I don’t even have a MySpace page myself. But I’m sure some of you would love it!!

– And last, but not least, is a new thing I just heard of called “lapbooking.” I have no idea HOW I’d fit this into my list-of-things-I-want-to-try, but it looks so incredibly fun that I just might have to.

And here was our week in meals….a little sparse in the cooking arena, but there were a few winners and a couple of never-fail-to-disappoint stand-by nestled in there. Again, write for any recipes you would like me to pass along to you.
